Lorentz and CPT violating signatures of non-commutative field theories Speaker(s): Maxim Pospelov
Abstract: The violation of Lorentz invariance in non-commutative field theories has a
number of obnservable consequences. In this talk, I concentrate on the
alteration of spin precession that has been searched for in a series of
dedicated experiments. The null results of these searches place the bound on
the scale of the canonical non-commutativty at the level of 10^15 GeV. I also comment on the implication of these experiments for some models of
quantum gravity that predict the existence of preferred frame.
