Bound State of Cosmic Superstrings in Curved Geometry Speaker(s): Louis Leblond
Abstract: Cosmic superstrings are one of the most promising
experimental window into string theory. Their properties differs
from more standard gauge theory cosmic strings in many ways. In
particular cosmic superstrings in type IIB string theory can form
bound states of ever increasing quantum numbers (p,q). In this talk,
I will review the calculation of the (p,q) string tension in flat
space and then I will generalize it to the typical curved geometry
encountered in flux compactification. Phenomenological implications
will then be discussed with particular attention to the scaling
property of the cosmic string network.
