Senthil Todadri is a Professor of Physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Senthil’s research seeks to develop a theoretical framework for describing the physics of novel quantum many particle systems by combining phenomenological modeling of experiments with abstract theoretical ideas and methods. He has worked on a wide variety of topics in the theory of electronic quantum matter, particularly on phases and phase transitions determined by strong interactions between the electrons. He is an elected member of the United States National Academy of Sciences (2024), and of the American Academy of Arts and Sciences (2023), a Simons Investigator of the Simons Foundation (2013-2024), and a past Sloan Research Fellow (2002).
