Carlos Mochon graduated from Caltech in 2005 with a Ph.D. in Physics. His thesis, supervised by John Preskill, focused on the areas of quantum computation with non-abelian anyons and quantum protocols for coin-flipping by telephone. A long time fan of technical schools, Carlos obtained his undergraduate degree at MIT.
