Dr. Kempf was an undergraduate at the University of Heidelberg (Germany's oldest), and he obtained his Ph.D. from the University of Munich. He was a postdoc and a College Research Fellow (Corpus) at the Department of Applied Mathematics and Theoretical Physics (DAMTP) at Cambridge and a postdoc at the Institute for Fundamental Theory at University of Florida. He has been Canada Research Chair, for the Physics of Information for 10 years, he holds a University Research Chair and he is currently co-chair of the International Societry for Relativistic Quantum Information. He's also an associate member of the IQC.
