Abstract
In this presentation Dr Fehr will discuss the results of
ISU ADVANCE, a $3.3 million National Science Foundation supported
research project designed to test strategies for improving the recruitment,
retention, and advancement of women and members of underrepresented
minority groups in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. In
particular, this talk will address barriers to, and strategies for, improving
the work climate in scientific communities. These improvements benefit
both men and women scientists and support research excellence.
