My main research interest is in string theoretic models of the early universe. More specifically, I am interested in how string theory can provide new ideas regarding our modeling of the early universe, and how this can lead to specific observational signatures in the cosmic microwave background and the large scale structure of the universe. At the same time, the combination of string theory and cosmology leads to new conceptual puzzles, which I aim to explore.
